Well...........at first glance it SEEMS that the author spends a good amount of time on the bad things that parasites do.....although admittedly true.

it's true BUT i did conduct a google book search for the term helminth, and she does mention positive work in there at least once. it might turn out to be an interesting perspective. sort of like when i read books like `meltdown: the predictable distortion of global warming by scientists, politicians and the media`. check that out for fun some time LOL
Wild Hickory Nuts

But she never once mentions that they taste "like wild hickory nuts" (you're probably far too young to remember the Grape Nuts advertisement Yule Gibbons made so this is probably meaningless)
