Hi everyone

Today i woke up again with this terrible terrible pressure headache that has been plaguing me for almost three years now!! It's really constant! Like my nerves are about to explode or sth is going to get out of head... i am plugged non stop!! has anybody had that literally constant for years? how the heck do you treat that? It seriously makes me want to kill myslef with the unbereable pain! I am on tons of supplements, helping with d3, zinc, magnseium, milk thisle B complex etc... by the way i could swallow tons of those supps, the pain neevr subsides...I still wonder how come I am still able to walk.. howver the pain is so debilitating I can't even think straight...

The things that helped my pressure was/is:
Tumeric 1500mg per day (solgar)
Nattokinase 300/400mg per day (that is a high dose and can cause bleeding in some people...I don't seem to have this problem but some might) (nattox3) VRP
Vitamin C 8000mg (my formula includes magnesium)
Unizyme (VRP) X3/4
Lots and lots of water throughout the day

I also sometimes add B3, Q10,inositol/choline combo (solgar), Vit D,zinc

But the ones above I take everyday.
They basically all thin the blood and reduce inflammation
Vitamin C lowers fibrinogen as does natto, unizyme lowers inflammation and tumeric thins and lowers inflammation x

thanks LR< I'm also on high doses of vitamin C but last time i tried nattokinase, it gave me lectric shocks in the head and I had to increase my fish oil intake...I really can't stand this symptom anymore, it's absoluely constant and doesn't make any sense!!! it'snot like MS makes any sense...

I had a 2 year long headache during my dx period and afterwards. I got a prescription for 800mg Ibuprofen and took one every six hours religiously. By the time ai got through with 2 bottles, the headache was only a transient thing. I have no earthly idea if the IB was responsible, but my theory is that I had to knock down some entrenched, long lasting inflammation and that knocked it down. Consequently I hardly get headaches now that my neck pain has gone down from my CCSVI procedure. I got a banged up nerve during that and the headaches were back pretty regular. Now that the nerve is healed/healing, I'm back to hardly any headaches again. For me I give regular, high dose Ibuprofen the credit.

loobie, during those 2 years, was the headache constant or did it come and go? did it feel like a pressure headache?
Also you say that CCSVI procedure took ayay the neck pain, so it hasn't come back since then?

heya!

10,000 IU d3 per day? do you take that at the same time as your 500 mg magnesium? also what form is your magnesium supplement?

low blood pressure can mean inadequate hydration (in my case i can keep BP up to normal by a determined effort to drink enough water)

re thirsty: ever had reason to get a fasting blood glucose test done?

questions, questions :)

hi jimmylegs

I take my Mg in the mrning and my vit d with lunch and with dinner...
Yes I have had my glucose levels checked quite often, i am so scared of having diabetes too as it seems common in people with MS... so i am having it checked...
By the way, do you kow of any good supp to help neuropathy? I ma on tons of B 12 and B complex, it really doesn't do anything... i am desperate from this sx too...

try backing off the d3 for a few days and see if just taking magnesium alone helps the pain. how much b-complex are you on?

what's your ferritin status like?

also, have you had your d3 levels checked? do you know how your absorption is?

i just found this highly unscientific looking resource, but very interesting. what makes me include it is that when i was zinc deficient i had pain behind my left eye. !!!

http://www.marysherbs.com/heal/heal-hedP.htm
"T - Ache deep behind left eye may indicate a zinc deficiency."

and this is weird seeing i just asked you about ferritin:
"N - Ache of band like character around forehead may indicate anemia"

ferritin is normal and is low, half the normal range ( i think i was 29 ans should be at least 60...)

ouch! what units? i try to keep my ferritin at least 100ug/L to ensure i'm not deficient. it was really low before from being vegan. i take a multi which the way i take it right now gives me 12mg iron per day. i take extra a few days a month, yes those days :)

ranges from the local lab:
<18 probably iron deficient
18-40 possibly deficient
41-100 probably not deficient
101-300 not iron deficient
>300 possible iron overload
