Hi mrbarlow..
do pharmacies sell copaxone in Saudi Arabia? if yes, do they ask for a Saudi prescription, also can u please let me know how much does it cost? This can be very helpfull. I have a daughter and a brother who live in Riadh, they can get me the medicine, instead of getting it from Spain.
Many thanks[/b]

Hi Sous

I use Rebif which is the prefered choice but a guy I know is on Copaxone as he reacts badly to Rebif. His Neuro was able to prescribe it - but as the drug is owned by an Israeli company it is not the preferred choice.

Im an expat and in a company scheme. Whether it is available through community Pharmacy's I have no idea although contrary to outside perceptions virtually everything is 'available' here.

Have you enquired as to whether Iran produces Copaxone? I wouldn't be surprised if they do for their domestic market and stick two fingers up at Teva's patents on the drug.

I have no idea. He is a work colleague who I only know through the fact we are both treated by the same Neuro. We haven't spoken for several months. The hospital pharmacy supply the Copaxone as they supply my Rebif so no need to go to private Pharmacy's

If your brother lives in Riyadh it would probably be easiest for him to go into a pharmacy and ask if they can get Copaxone. At worst the answer will be no.

That said the Pharmacy's here are crap. I asked about LDN and I think they thought I was after methadone. At the same time they sell steroids for body building
