The effects of heat uk/hotter climates

Hi!

I was just wondering and the answer would be really interesting.

But the heat to us in the uk has a massive negative effect on some people, its as if the internal thermostat has got stuck. I used to have tepid baths to reregulate my system, not cold baths as they would cause shock.

What I was wondering is when you climate changes and becomes cooler, do you improve and feel much more comfortable.

You see it only is unbearably hot here mainly in peak summertime which is July.

Thanx

It's not just the heat - it's also the humidity and lack of quality air in the London area. Like heat, humidity causes a fall in air quality because oxygen levels fall and pollution levels increase. London has recently had the worst air quality in Europe - well exceeding European Uninion guidelines.

MS is an inflammatory disease. I believe that an increase in body temperature and reduction in oxygen causes already inflammed nerves to metabolise oxygen very poorly. Try hyperbaric oxygen treatment if your neurologist will finance it.

I for one am very heat sensitive, and often feel ill for a few hours after spending any significant length of time in the heat. You guys seem to be having our heatwave from last summer, which sucks. I would strongly recommend an investment in a good air conditioner. I dropped a few hundred bucks on one start of this summer and it's made a big difference. (Costco is running some great deals on ductless ACs this summer, I don't know if you guys have them in the UK though)

HI!

I dont know if Americas climate fluctuates from hot to cold, you see geography wasnt my stong point at school. I would think any thing above 70 or 20 would cause a problem.

Its interesting though, because if the heat was constant, you wouldnt know the difference.
and that it has a devestatingly bad effect and keeping cool is a must.
