I've been pretty excited about the testing of estriol for MS, but, of course, this is yet another trial where the enrollees will be getting Copaxone along with either Trimesta or placebo. It's rare these days for them to test any new med alone and take the chance that the placebo patients will be left with no CRABs whatsoever. To me, that just confounds the results. And pisses me off.
The 150-patient, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial of Trimesta is currently underway at 15 centers in the United States. Investigators are administering either Trimesta or matching placebo along with glatimer acetate (Copaxone®), an FDA-approved therapy for MS, to women between the ages of 18-50 who have been recently diagnosed with relapsing-remitting MS. With 127 out of 150 patients enrolled in the clinical trial by March 1, 2011, the Company anticipates full enrollment by the second half of 2011.

They should start using the oral therapies over the crabs, especially since they are testing a new oral treatment. I know one of the reasons I (if I was female in this case  ) would join this trial would be because I disliked the injectibles. Are they listening?
