I have osteo too...well almost there I was severe osteopenia the last time I got checked.
Look into taking 3mg boron, calcium/Magnesium mix 500mg/250mg, Vitamin D3 1000-5000iu depending on your bloods. I also take strontium (Doctors best) It is also a bone builder.

I have found out that some bone builders can actually cause loss of bone in the jaw...I am not sure what the type is of the drug you are being offered but be careful x

I am also on copaxone....do you think that has contributed to your osteoporosis?

Are you light body weight/slim build? If you don't mind me asking what is your age?

no I don't think copaxone contribute to my osteo. I do have a family history of osteo. Yes I am thin and
weight only 95 lbs. my age is 55. I know that 2 of my meds I take everyday contribute osteo.
Is there any side effects taking strontium ? I might just try this instead.

I know you have to good working Kidneys...
A lot of the time with the osteo meds there is a risk of clotting (usually the pharma ones or any supps that contain Vit K)
I would go for the calcium/Mag/Vit D and Boron as the main course of action and maybe throw in a couple of the strontium a day if your body handles it.

I don't know what other meds you are on and also I am no Dr. I have just come to these supps after extensive research!
I am only 34 years old and I think too many blood thinners, Steroids, Antibiotics, being slim and inactive a lot of the time oh and high thyroid meds have probably contributed to my Osteo situation.

Yes vit K is one of the important vits for bone health but it also clots the blood more....(so I cannot take as a supp but try and get it from my leafy greens:)

Vitamin K2 also helps to pull calcium deposits out of your arteries where they don't belong.
