Deb,

I've said before that you are either brilliant or completely mad (or perhaps a combination). Whatever, the real question is when the sorts of neuro-protective drugs, channel blockers etc are likely to be tested / available etc.

Much research is examining re-myelination, which I assume also has a role in protecting axons etc.

The other crunch question is what about those who have damaged / dissected axons etc. Is there any hope here?

I'll keep posting as you probably haven't got much else to do but respond and you seem to be on a roll. Given that you now do not have MS, shouldn't you be signing up for a dating agency - you're not getting any younger!

True, true, Ian!

And even though I have been absent from this website quite a bit, I have NOT been absent from the lives of the NMSS, Vanderbilt, and one other prominent neuro.

And who says I do NOT have myself listed with a "dating agency". hehe.......... Problem is, who can stand me for long? 8) And what's with all the MARRIED men these days? I'm like a magnet. Find me a single one, and then we'll see!

Oh, and you know what quote I have taped to my computer screen at work? It says: "There is no genius without the mixture of madness." (Seneca the Younger)

Deb

P.S. And this is WAY off subject for a second, but if anybody catches the new tv show "The Bachelor", the Bachelor this time is an ER doctor from Vanderbilt! Some people I work with are acquainted with him, too. And darn it, I had asked the docs at Vandy if there were any good single docs there they could introduce me to! They were holding out! hehehe................... (Naw, I'm too old for the youngster docs anyway.)

Oh.........and wait a minute! Not much else to do??? 8O I only wish!
