Hi,
Thanks to anyone who is taking the time to read this. I will keep it as brief as possible. I am a 36 yr old female. about 5 years ago after the birth of my second son I was dx with chronic Migraine. Symptoms include headache extreme fatigue numbness pain and weakness in legs and feet vertigo and falling "out of balance"

I had a few abnormal brain MRI's (2006-2008) - 2 lesions in gray matter. Doctors said they were most likely scrars from my bad migraines and decided to followup in a few years to rule out any possibility of MS. Fast forward to 2012 (last week) Brain MRI - two gray matter lesions now showing "increased abnormal signal" and there are now 3 new white matter lesions. My non-headache "migraine" syptoms (described above) have been awful lately. My doctor just got the report this morning so i havent hear from him yet (I picked up my own copy in hopes of easing my anxiety with good new)

The following is typed in the Findings section of most recent MRI-

"Small foci of high T2 signals are nonspecific findings and may result from any process that causes ischemia, demylenation, or gliosis. This appearance is most commonly seen in older patients secondary to atherosclerosis. Does the paient have risk factors for accelerated atherosclerosis such as hypertension, diabetes or hypercholestrolemia? In youger patients demylenation, most commonly secondary to multiole sclerosis should be considered. Lyme disease collagen vascular diseases such as lupus and other vasculitides, migraine headaches, and the use of certain drugs may also result in the appearance"

I dont have hypertension or diabetes and tested negative for lupus a few years back.

I know you guys cant diagnose MS for me, but to help me through the limbo until my doctor talks to me about these results, i could really use some info. Even if it is bad news or doesnt look favorable. Someone who knows and understand who can give an opion will at least give me somewhere to focus these anxious thoughts.

Thanks in advance.

When are you supposed to hear from your doctor? Have you called his office and asked him to call you or to make an appointment right away to discuss the findings of the MRI? Don't wait until he gets around to calling you. Be persistent in being able to talk with him about this. You should not have to wait on pins and needles to have a discussion with him.
