Any one know why this is?

I know most people's walking and balance fade with the day if they have used too much energy.

I am best in the morning regardless of how much I do. By lunch time I have great difficulty in walking.

Anyone have ideas please.

Jam – My ideas revolve around diet and insulin, of course.

In those mornings when you are feeling at your best, are you eating breakfast, especially carbohydrates or sugary cereals? When "fasting" overnight, the production of insulin is reduced.

Does your difficulty walking occurred before or after eating lunch? Can you keep a diary of what you eat and identify a connection between your symptoms and your diet?

Just wondering….

Interesting - my wife has the opposite problem. Her heavy right leg is the worst in the AM, by bedtime it is sometimes much better!

Hi Jam

I noticed you are a NZers - how are you doing? Your situation sounds similar to that of my husband. Are you in Auckland - have you been to Rehab Plus? He found it incredibly helpful going there but it is only a temporary system of support and he has not been able to keep up the improvements since finishing up with them and I'm looking for the next line of treatment for his but though you should know about it if you haven't been yet.

Hi Jam--could be related to your sleep cycle. During deep REM sleep, the brain is oxygenated, nourished and cleansed, which might explain why you wake up with energized neurons.

Something that has helped my husband is cardiovascular exercise. A bike ride or 15 minutes on the elliptical seems to boost his energy.
