No answers for me but still finding this hard

I don't expect any replies because everyone has said everything they can and I really just need to hear from the neurologist but whatever is wrong with me really sucks. The dizzy spells stopped a few weeks ago but the numbness in my left stayed it has subsided quite alot though. I am still getting hot, cold & burning sensations that run up and down various parts of my body, I am still having trouble with thinking clearly I make a lot of mistakes, I get really bad intense pains in different parts of my body often sometimes my legs or an arm it usually in the bones as though I have been smacked hard... every one gets these occasionally but I am getting them all the time. I also keep getting pain in my legs that is the same as when your leg goes to sleep but I am getting it all the time. The other day I had really intense stomach pains for a couple of hours and then they went away I was getting them earlier when I had dizzy spells. I am so over this sometimes I start feeling like everything is okay again and then suddenly everything I can see starts getting distorted and then I start getting weird sensations like hot water running through a part of my body or a heat wave or electric shocks in my eyes and body. Sometimes my chest gets really tight and sometimes I feel like Im breathing cold fire and my face is all cold its so weird and horrible. My arms and legs are also getting tired really easily.

This is all happening on a daily basis and I am so over it. Im not seeing my doctor at the moment because not much is changing so I figured I will wait a month and go back in... I am still waiting to hear from the neurologist. My symptoms don't really seem like MS so I am really confused as to what on earth is going on and I am scared that this will go on forever and that I will never know why... I just want to feel normal again.

sorry to go on I am just feeling alone and uncertain right now even though my husband is supportive its still really hard as I am experience symptoms almost constantly its very rare when I do feel like I am not experiencing any and when I do it doesnt last long.

still sounds like a whole bunch of no fun :S

please do check back in if you manage to get these tests as per our earlier chat:

http://www.thisisms.com/forum/general-d ... ml#p188637
serum vitamin d3 (the 25(OH)D3 form) nmol/L
serum magnesium mmol/L
serum zinc umol/L
serum copper umol/L
serum vitamin b12 pmol/L

the results may turn up a course of action. in the meantime, while you're waiting to go see the doc, take care and keep your chin up!

Along with the blood work, I suggest that you get your spinal alignment especially the atlas checked thru a good doc. Misalignment of spine can cause weird symptoms with changing postures.

Refresh my memory-when are you supposed to see the neurologist? It seems it has been a long time since you initially posted your problems and I would have thought a neuro would have seen you by now. Please keep at this-don't give up until you get some answers. You most be your own advocate.

Thanks Taurus I will mention that. Loriyas I am still not sure I haven't received a letter or anything from them thats why I am thinking if I wait 1 month and get back to the doctor he will realize that this isn't going away and hopefully send another letter. Even though its constantly affecting me I don't think its serious enough to push too hard but I googled waiting times for the clinic and it said urgent 1-3months semi-urgent 3-10

To top it all off I have just developed some kind of throat or chest infection but I also have decreased sensation in my entire body inside and out so I can't tell how sick I am I have no pain but my nose & ears are blocked and my chest is all scratchy and feels numb up to my throat but my throat is fine and I have no sense of taste.. I think its just a cold but with all my other problems it makes it hard to tell I hope I don't get really sick because I won't want to go to the doctor because he will think that I have gone mad

infection and loss of taste sense (ageusia) points to zinc problems, from what i've read.

just one study (unfortunately i can't find something with a larger sample size)

Hypozincemia, ageusia, dysosmia, and toilet tissue pica.

I will I still have 2 weeks before im going back to the doc it would have been a month since I saw him last and 2 months since I started having worse symptoms so I will just get through these 2 weeks and then hopefully that will show the doctor that this isn't just going to disappear like he was hoping thanks for the advice
