A younger male with MS

If anyone's heard, Jack Osbourne, Ozzy Osbourne's son came out as diagnosed with MS... they were talking about it on the Today Show. I didn't catch most of it, but I heard them saying that a male to be diagnosed at his age is rare and a very bad sign. Went online to see how old Jack Osbourne is... turns that not only is he the same age as me, he was born on the same exact day and year. Anyways, hearing them say that and then seeing the birthday coincidence completely gutted me and I was wondering if anyone here could elaborate on this comment...

I heard about Jack:( Don't worry yourself about prognosis, the dr's think they can predict the worse scenarios and the best possible scenarios but they can't!!

I am glad Jack will make more people aware of MS though

I'm a male that was diagnosed 2 weeks before my 26th birthday, which is also Christmas Eve. Not exactly the surprise gift I was hoping for... I'm 33 now and my self-assesed EDSS score is 1. I've had two acute relapses (both affecting cervical spine), and outside typical fatigue/ urinary frequency that afflict the majority of pwMS, I only have mild disability in my hands... When the global population is taken into context, it is rare and a bad sign for anyone to be diagnosed with MS. Just push probability for a benign course as best as possible by maintaining a healthy diet and exercising frequently (weightlifting has worked wonders for me). There is no accuracte forecast with this disease. While pleasant enough, the doctors who diagnosed me were blunt with their negative expectations (given my age/sex and legion load on my brain). Anything can change tomorrow, but as of today, going on 8 years later, I've proven them incorrect.
