Hello and thanks to everyone who reads and has any feedback on whats been going on with me over the course of the week. Ill try and break it all down to timeframes :)

From last Aug 2011 ~ current, caried levels of against gravity tremor and when hand is flat on the table and pointer finger is raised I have a varied degree of tremor. Mainly in (L) hand.
Starting arounf July 1st, slight tingling in various limbs. First area was left bicep, then moved to other areas includding (L) forearm, (L)thumb area of hand, both feet. Tingling on occasion felt cold. Tingling was only present at two locations when it was in my feet. Tingling generally went away quickly 1 hour ~ but over this past week if I pay attention it is located at some area of the body.
Three days this week, 2 at onset of tingling and once this morning I woke up and my left arm was asleep. When I sit up I regain feeling. Not sure if I might be sleeping on it or if my puppy who usually sleeps in my armpit area (chihuahua mutt :)) might have been the root cause of this.
Yesterday while out and about I had a random electric type pain on the (R) side of my head. It would last for like 3~ seconds then fade away. This only happened about 5~5 times over the course of 24 hours.
So Im grasping at any and all things that this could be. When googled Ms pops up in nearly all. Is there anything else that anyone can think of that it could be? I have a appt in 29 hours lol to see a Neurologist at the hospital I work at to hopefully start to get some insight of what might be going on.
im not sure if this is worth mentioning. About 2~3 weeks ago I kicked a Nyquil addiction Ive had for nearly a year to help me sleep. I work nightshift and would go home shower and pop a capful 3x a week to help me sleep, along with a over the counter sleep aide, and a melatonine. This horrible habit lasted for like I said at least 7~12 months. Grasping at sraws could my symptoms be a sign of going throug hsome kind of withdrawl? I dont have the most obvious one of insomnia, but when things seem so scary you will hope for anything I guess.

Thank you everyone. Please forgive the horrible spelling and grammer. I am trying to push this out while I have the guts to do it.

god bless you all for all your strength and support you give and love you share.

welcome to the forum billy, sorry to hear you're having a scary time. we've mostly all been there so you're in good company :)

i can't say i know much about nyquil. i tried a quick search and it's listed as a product to help you sleep when coming off opiates :S i think there may be some better options out there!

shift work is a toughie. are you able to get daily physical exercise? have you got a setup at home that lets you sleep all right during the day? eg darkness, ear plugs?

diet and nutrition might also be an avenue you can investigate for sleep. personally i have found magnesium useful at bedtime (specifically, magnesium citrate). it's quite calming. plus maybe you can eat food sources of tryptophan near time for sleep also??

if you're concerned that your symptoms may be ms, i can link you up to the nutrition side of it if you are interested. my 'signature' links below provide some reading if that's the case. good luck at the neuro appt, and again, welcome to TiMS.

Welcome to ThisIsMS, Billy; we do not have all the answers, but we try to help. Just today on The Dr. Oz Show, one segment dealt with foods to eat for better sleep: http://www.doctoroz.com/videos/what-eat-deep-sleep

I don't know if any of the information there might be of use to you – but there it is. For your other symptoms I recommend you start with your GP or internist and have a thorough baseline exam including blood tests. Tremors are often linked with withdrawal, but I wouldn't think the sleeping aids you have taken would be enough to cause the problems you describe. It could be due to MS – or one of many other conditions. Do you eat lots of sugar, starch – carbohydrates? Your doctor needs to work with you. All the best to you.
