I put this in my last thread just now but think it will been seen better on its own.

When I put my arm to my side and raise it the movement is smooth. When I slowly lower it there's a series of small jumps or jerks its not smooth. I think this is also happening now in my legs I haven't pinpointed where Its coming from but the arm one seems to be behind my shoulder perhaps terries major or minor. I think it's a muscle in my rotated cuff group. Anyway it's pretty equal on each arm, it seemed to just appears about 5 weeks ago. This is Making me so nervoious.

I have full use but in everything I do I feel the shake when my Arms are brought back towards my body.

Does anyone who is diagnosed with me have this? Please tell me about your similar symptoms and if it goes away.

Thank you.

heya jewels, and welcome kelly.

based on your new question and following up from our previous conversation, http://www.thisisms.com/forum/introduct ... 80-15.html

did you have success locating a better form of magnesium supplement? is your dietary magnesium intake nice and high? the jerking sounds like your muscle electrics are out of whack and at it's most basic/least scary, that just says 'electrolyte issues'. since you were on magnesium oxide before and it's known to absorb poorly, that's one reason why it would be suspect. if you take all your daily mag at the same time as vit d3, that's one potential problem. even if you split, if the dietary mag is low and the supplement form is oxide, you can get into trouble. and as if that weren't enough, when you're stressed it uses up even more magnesium. hope you were able to find magnesium glycinate and/or citrate, and that your diet is magnesium-rich (notice that chard and spinach are about the only 'excellent' sources according to this 'world's healthiest' guide: http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tnam ... oodsources )

also, did you have any luck with the specific bloodwork we had discussed? hope so! would be great to see some of those other numbers.

TTFN!

Hi jimmylegs,

I haven't had the specific tests done yet. I'm going to my GP next week (canceled on my for tomorrow) i am asking him for those tests. My neuro saw fit to run a gluecse tollerance test and do a zink another THS and magnesium but im not sure which ones yet I just had he blood drawn this past Saturday. I took your advice and spilt up the supplements. I want to find better ones my problem is I get freaked taking these pills cause wheatear it's in my head or really getting stuck for another reason I'm not sure. I need good supplements that I can easily get down. Haven't had time to do much investigating. I bought some epson salt last night. I hope that will help a little with magnesium. I also try to eat a nice green salad With chard and spiniach most days to help out. Thanks again for the information. I'll post my results in my original thread when I get them.

I use my phone to post often sorry for mistakes.

hey there :) okay good news that you are making progress.

so you'll get zinc, mag and the other results in a couple weeks, and hopefully the other tests requisitioned next week. great!

and if you have the epsom salts, that's even better - don't exceed whatever the package instructions tell you though :)

careful with raw chard... you need to boil it for three minutes to remove the oxalates. a big green salad containing some spinach is fine, as long as the other greens are low in oxalic acid. cooked spinach needs the same treatment (ie 3 min boil) if you consume it in high volumes.

looking forward to seeing your updates over the next few weeks. hope you can try the epsom salts soon! i'll see if i can help you get some ideas for good mag supps. ttfn!
