hi ancedote, first, glad you are doing so well. i had my pcp order blood work for cp. they said it's ok. as with lymes is it hard to detect? you mentioned on another thread about being genetically predisposed. i am english, scottish and irish as far as i know. any suggestions if further testing would be needed or take i'm clear of cp.

C pn is very hard to detect since it is an intracellular pathogen for most of its life span. I registered at only 1:64 but David started me on treatment and I reacted the same day. A good way of testing is NAC test: http://www.davidwheldon.co.uk/NAC.html This is easy to do yourself over a few days.

If you think you are positive, you might like to show this to your pcp: http://www.davidwheldon.co.uk/ms-treatment.pdf Being a pdf it prints out neatly.

Yes the Society does offer research funding but it wouldn't have anywhere near the amount required to do proper trials for antibiotics. These kinds of studies cost into the millions of dollars to obtain anything meaningful and by that I mean eventual approval from the FDA. The planning, organization and complexity involved in clinical trials is huge and that's why the expense.

And the MS Society is influenced a lot by the big pharma and you can bet they wouldn't be giving a positive nod for this kind of trial.
