Balance test

I read about a balance test to determine if you have one of the symptoms of ms, it consisted of standing up straight with your feet together and closing your eyes. When I did this, sure enough I was swerving as though I was a tall skyscraper in an earthquake. It was very interesting because I have never thought of myself that abnormal. I guess I have gotten worst over time, being in denial thinking I was going to overcome this illness. Has anyone performed this simple test, if you have can you share your experience. Thanks.

i would have failed it miserably in '06.. i could barely manage with my eyes open, for that matter. but as of this minute - no probs! that's not to say i feel exactly the same with my eyes closed. perhaps a smidgen.. disoriented or something?

The test is known as a Romberg Test. You can read more about it here... http://www.mult-sclerosis.org/RombergTest.html

I was doing it regularly for a little while just to keep my system in tune. For example, 3 minutes on a timer in a dark bathroom. However, after a period of time I started slacking off on this. I need to get back to it though as I've been noticing that my balance is more off lately.
