I was diagnosed with MS February 13th 2012. A couple of weeks prior something very very very strange happened. So strange that it is hard to talk about and explain to others.

About 2 weeks before my diagnoses I was experiencing severe headaches, extreme tiredness and felt extremely sleepy among other MS symptoms. My eyes would quickly give me brief double vision the it was ok again.

Now for the very weird thing that happened: Again, a couple of weeks before I was diagnosed something bizarre happened to me. I quite literally felt a movement in my head. Like something was crawling around inside of it. The crawling sensation did not hurt but felt extremely odd. Even stranger I could "hear" it as it slipped around. What I was hearing was not coming from my ears (outside noise) but actually from inside the brain similar to being able to hear yourself think.

Has anyone ever felt (and heard) something moving in their brain? Amy ideas of what it could have been?
Now I do get a crawling sensation in other areas of my body -- after the diagnoses.

hi and welcome. yes, i used to feel a sort of straining in my brain behind my left eye in particular, when i was having trouble processing spatial info while moving. ie driving. it was hard. i found out i was zinc deficient. fixed that, problem solved. not sure if you're in the same boat. only other crawling sensations i had were related to c-spine lesions (lhermitte's sign).

Maybe, just maybe something is crawling in your head. Are you familiar with the biggest controversy in medicine? Lyme disease and coinfections ? These are bacteria, protozoa, parasites etc... You should educate yourself and know that these infections are stealth infections and very hard to identify thru testing and very hard to eradicate. That's why you need to treat with multiple antibiotics for as long as you need. Lyme disease mimics MS and is very often misdiagnosed. MS meds will make an infection worse and that includes steroids. If you were just diagnosed in Feb you have a good chance of getting it early. Look into what I am telling you, it's very possible and likely probable.

You must understand that Dr are in the business of money it's their livelihood just like mechanics the doctor for the mechanic is not always accurate but they said in order to make money I think its wrong with you or your car this is spiritual warfare we must not forget that everything that you go through in life concerning your physical body is not always physical somethings are Spiritual. I'm going through it Spiritual change right now Spiritual evolution and I can assure you that what you are going through is not a physical condition you two are also going through an evolution and transformation it's happening universal the crawling sensation in your face and your head up through your body its called a Kundalini rising do your research stop looking to other people to tell you what's wrong with you you know the answers within yourself everything is spiritual everything created by man and for profit

Something like this used to happen to me in my late teens. I would have moments when I felt a shifting sensation in my head, as if my brain were moving in my cranium. It would only last for a few seconds. It eventually stopped and I never knew what it was or what caused it. A doctor at the time said it might be some form of seizure. This was over forty years ago.

I have the movement sensation too exept mine was made to move on certain commands. it squeezes the brain and slithers through it.. its very painful at times as it burns parts of mine on the surface and in between the folds of the brain lobes.. Its been trained to move dues to conditioning.. I call it mY simbiont. Everyone here says im crazy. well Im a scientist and i like to experiment. Mine it appears isn't alone. its grown at the rear of your brain stem and fibers grow through your brain to help it navigate.. its used to tug on portions of your brain to encourage behavior.. at least it is in me. There are people in my community who have one too and theirs isnt exactly accidental either. Im just pleased to find that Im not alone in finding someone else who has these symptoms.. right now its causing a burn spot to come to life due to me writing this. It crunches and slithers around still but I think the majority of the slithering other than moving around is caused by swelling and manipulation of the central part of the brain with grown fibers. as the brain changes shap in the center pressures are placed on other parts of the cerebellum that cause a squishing sensation.. fluid is pressed around and it feels like something crawling in your head.. mine is trained.. by criminals and later me. I want the people who are ignoring my torture to experience a week of what i have to go through.. some people would want these people to die. I sometimes do. dont have a doctor willing to look at it. Yours doesn't come with its own view screen where you can enjoy words and paragraphs of information blasted in your eyesight.. so that's where the similarity ends. Well It could always be worse right? Melissa Adrian Bonet.

Some of these responses are quite frightening.I had no idea the thoughts people have.I have the movement in my head.Ive been diagnosed with high blood pressure. I take norvasc. My blood pressure is under control with the meds.Every so often I feel something moving only in one area on the right side of my brain. Its hard to describe, like fluid or some kind of tighting. Its painless but still scary knowing im at risk for cva.I was hoping someone else out there felt just like me and could give me a warning that a cva is coming. There are a lot of interesting views,I don't be little any of them, you never know.I have a few other physical mysteries that I wonder if anyone else feels them.Nice to know im not crazy, other people feel it too.

This is a very interesting post..I believe I experienced this's aswell.
Also I experienced what is medically termed as "exploding brain syndrome". Inside my head there was an explosion sound! ( not outside) it was very loud, quick and didn't hurt. Kinda like a thunder clap in my head...

I remember jogging in high school gym class, about 15 years old, and asking the guy next to me, "does your brain bounce when you run". I remember the bewildered look he gave me and I never mentioned it again. Some days, it would feel like someone was hitting the back of my head with something every time my heart beat. I hated exercise for this reason. Other days, it wasn't there.

I think it has something to do with blood flow or spinal fluid flow. I've never been examined for CCSVI stuff. But something like that could be breaching our blood brain barriers. When I had my first flair I had brain swelling which caused memory damage. I would hurt to touch my temples or move my eyes.

Even now, I can do jumping jacks some days, and my head starts pounding with every pulse. Something weird about our brains and blood flow. I used to have a semi photographic memory. Now I can't remember the names of people I know, books I read, movies I watch, streets I've lived on. It's depressing.

Another angle is that I am very sensitive to cold weather, not just because I get cold hands and feet, but because It seems like it constricts the blood flow in my head even more. After a few mins in cold wind, I start getting headaches, my ears start aching, and I've been told that is another symptom other people don't get normally. But what do you do?

Another weird thing, potentially related, is I have noticed that for years, even before MS dxs, when I get a hair cut, and they use the clippers on my neck line, there is a spot where it gives me a strange feeling that is hard to explain. It is unpleasant, something like an itch under the skin, the affects the back of my neck all the way up to my jugular. Not painful, but strange eoung that I immediately want to touch my neck to make it stop.

I have had this a long time! I have felt like it was almost "swishing" with me if I moved and was oozing like a sort of insect through my head or like clotted blood moving. It's horrible and has made me fear brain aneurysms. I asked healthtap once they said there is no condition to cause that sensation. My doctor suggested sinus drainage. You might want to check that out. I was put on doxycycline which I think helps a little. But still not convinced it's sinus drainage for it to feel like this.
I've tried mentioning it before I think but I get "you're mad" looks..even my doctor looked puzzled.
There is no chance I could have Lyme the bug doesn't even exist here and I rarely ever go outside.

Similar type of symptom I had from last 2 years and later(8 month before) I have been Identify as MS.
Then I did more study on it and found this is due to imbalance of NUTRIENT or VITAMINS or ELECTROLYTES or MINERALS or PHYTO-NUTRIENTS etc. That is my study but Doctor gave me steroid and start TYSABARY infusion. but I was stuck on my theory and reading more books on Yoga and immune system. After 3 months i quite the infusions and start Yoga, avoid unhealthy food, take suggestion from dietitian after all test and now I am feeling good and am positive to life.
It may be vary person to person, Obliviously MS is a disease and that need prevention before worst but in my case I took suggestion from another doctor too and found this is just primary stage so I took rist and start my meditation.
