Magnesium - what kind?

I'm planning to start supplementing with magnesium, but I'm staggered by the bewildering variety: aspartate, oxide, citrate, etc. I've been researching online, but no two websites seem to give the same info. Does anyone have any input on what's best for MS?

If you take magnesium supplements, what type do you take, and why?

Check out the "all things magnesium" thread under the Natural Approach forum, you're bound to find what you're looking for.

one post with dense info you may find useful. scroll to the 'supplements' section for specific info on magnesium forms

http://www.thisisms.com/forum/regimens- ... tml#p15460

the 'bloodwork' section could be helpful also.

the 'all things magnesium' topic is a longer but very worthwhile read.

Hi L,

Just in case you don't run across my post(s) in the other threads, I've used various types of Mg and I find a sustained release one lasts the longest and upsets my stomach the least - which is a big concern for me. It is produced by 'Jigsaw' out of Arizona. Do a search.

Good Luck, PN
