Just a sad note to all of you who followed Greek.
He died on Sunday morning. He was so happy
to finally give MS a kick in the ass that he had a
beatific glow and smile on his face at the last
breath. His final words are on TheGreekfromdetroit.com.

Beyond bittersweet--there is much sadness because George is gone from us, but there is also much happiness for him because he's in no more pain. He and I exchanged PMs and emails and tried to help each other deal with the horrible symptoms that came with our "MS Hug." I pray George has found peace and send my condolences to his family.

Really sorry to hear this. He was one of the good guys given a bums rap and a rapid course. He fought the good fight valiantly.

Thinking of his family.

WE NEED A CURE DAMMIT.

Moom--
I am so sorry for your loss. I know he was in great pain, and that you and your husband were a comfort to him. As a mom, my heart breaks for you. May he rest in peace, at last. Bless you for all you did for him.
with a heavy heart,
cheer

i just found out earlier this evening and it's settling in now. i went to his web site and read his last thoughts. i just kinda feel numb, sad you name it.

at the end of the day here we all are different in our sameness. for the ones that stuck with him and loved him no matter what my heart felt prayers and sympathy to you. and for those that jumped ship, well, can't judge but they have to live with
that and nothing can hurt the greek anymore. none of us choose to get this thing they call ms, but people do have choices on how they treat a person when they're down.

For you, George, my friend forever...

Let It Be

When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom
Let it be

And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom
Let it be

Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom
Let it be

And when the broken-hearted people
Living in the world agree
There will be an answer
Let it be

For though they may be parted
There is still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer
Let it be

Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Yeah, there will be an answer
Let it be

Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom
Let it be

Let it be, let it be
Let it be, yeah, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom
Let it be

And when the night is cloudy
There is still a light that shines on me
Shine until tomorrow
Let it be

I wake up to the sound of music
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom
Let it be

Yeah, let it be, let it be
Let it be, yeah, let it be
Oh, there will be an answer
Let it be

Let it be, let it be
Let it be, yeah, let it be
Oh, there will be an answer
Let it be

Let it be, let it be
Let it be, yeah, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom
Let it be

George and I formed a brotherly bond these last three years, and I am beyond heartbroken. Of course, I'm happy that he is no longer suffering, but I mourn the tragedy that befell him, and for those left behind. I'll miss my Treasured friend for as long as I occupy a place on this earth.

I've been trying to put together a eulogy for him on wheelchair kamikaze, but so far have been unable to keep it together long enough to get the words on the screen. My voice recognition software doesn't seem to like snuffles and sobs…

To all of you who followed Greek and have offered condolences. a sincere thank you.
No one knows what life will bring, so we need to support each other the best we can.
He did that for so many...silently but effectively. God, I am going to miss him
every day.
Hilda...his Mom

Read George's blog again:( the terrible loss of life due to an unforgiving condition:(

I hate what ms took from him :( I felt I knew him from his posts and blog even though I never actually knew him in person. i still feel so sad he has gone.

My thoughts are with his family and friends as I know the pain has not gotten any less for you all.

Hilda, my mum is my rock too and does so much for me as you did for George, bless you, I am so sorry for your loss xxx

Thank you for remembering George.
His loss and suffering are still very painful for us.
He was so courageous, tried every treatment available and made his
own personal choice to not let MS define the rest of his life.
He was stoic and determined to be in charge of his future.
I want his blog to remain and be read so that others may gain
strength or understanding from it.

Yes, I hope I was his rock as your Mum is for you. He was my loving son,
and I will keep him in my heart till my final breath.
I have been sharing my thought on my own blog, xaidwspeaks.blogspot.com/
Other Moms may find it echos their heart's thoughts.
Healing to you.
