Electrolyte imbalance: how to correct different profiles

After taking a ride on the low bp bus, it finally occurred to me that the same treatment is NOT going to work for all of us and we don't all have the same electrolyte imbalances. I believe we all likely have some sort of imbalance though. And I believe the imbalance is what causes our lesions and discomforts (some which I know can be completely alleviated just by correcting our imbalances). Think Na, K, Mg, Ca, Cl, P http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency ... 002350.htm
When studies were done to examine hpa-axis activity in people with MS, I believe they focused primarily on cortisol and ignored it's ugly stepsister, aldosterone. So, while we all may have loads of cortisol coursing through our veins, some of us might produce insufficient amounts of aldosterone and therefore have a different electrolyte profile. Imbalances may be driven by completely different hormone irregularities as well.
I'm going to babble on about this concept (if I can find anything to back it up) and hope that Jimmylegs and Scott1 (and anyone else interested) will join me in this exploration.
For now, I post nothing of substance because my pack/herd/harem/flock/riot of boys is quite hungry for my attention today. If you've any thoughts on this, please do jump right in and post.
