Any advice for flushing?

For the past few weeks, my cheeks have been bright red. From what I gather from Dr. Google, this can be blamed on MS (it's never happened before and does not go away). Anyone have any advice that might help? Every time I look in a mirror I wonder who that clown like person is looking back at me...

It started before I started copaxone and has continued on. Nothing else is new. All I can tell from web searches is that it is a "common MS symptom". It doesn't hurt or itch or anything, my concern is purely cosmetic. Still, it does startle me whenever I catch my reflection.

I think I read somewhere that it's a sign of inflammation which, of course, makes sense. But will anything make it go away? I look like a caricature of a drunken Irishman.

Could this redness be rosacea? WC Fields is known to have had this – he often played the part of a drunk.

Rosacea is another "autoimmune" disease; people diagnosed with one autoimmune disease are frequently later diagnosed with a second, or even a third. I don't know of anything to make it go away.

Maybe. What kind of luck do I have if I've developed two autoimmune diseases in a few months? :-D

from what I've read, rosacea has tiny bumps like a rash and my skin texture hasn't changed, just the color.
