Hi

My name is Lynne, RRMS Three years. I don't usually post because I don't do crowds...lol

Long story short - I called an ambulance to take me to the hosp. on Thursday morning,
as I woke up yawning like crazy, then my legs started to stiffen with each yawn and a few
minutes later I could barley move. Breathing was shallow, pulse was fast and I was also on the verge of panic.

Got there and I had a fever was slight head-achy and a bit of nausea. I didn't want any food. Ended up only being a UTI. Hooked me up to IV and antibiotics. Took me till that night until I could move a bit more. Then they were worried about low blood pressure and gave me too much IV Fluids the next day. Had swollen eyes. I got restless and could not sleep at all the second night, and decided to go home the next morning as I could walk good enough again. After I got home my feet and lower legs started swelling, I weighed myself because I was worried I might have lost weight after two days of no food and I had gained 8 lbs of water. It's going down a bit now after copious amounts of urine.

STILL no appetite or thirst and general anxiety. What happened to my thirst and hunger? My tummy growls but I have to force down the food. I think my taste is off a bit too. I am in such a mess!

hi lynne answered your magnesium question on the other topic.

for the infection, appetite and sense of taste, i'd be taking a long hard look at zinc status.

if you can get blood tests for serum zinc and serum magnesium then you'll have an idea how far you might have to go to get these levels optimized.

One of my first symptoms was lack of appetite, if it's rrms it should go away with time.

Today was a good day! My appetite is coming back!

Nope! It came back on it's own as my stress subsided. I think it was related to the stress. I did take extra mag. for the stress though.
