And then there is this 5 1/2-minute video presentation by Dr. Gary Kaplan on the four types of celiac disease and their symptoms:

@Celeste: Please note that he lists iron deficiency/anemia in the second group, Atypical Celiac Disease.

thanks Lynda for this video.
In fact the whole series of 7 parts is very worthwile to look at.
It explains it all, many of the things we have seen before (cortisol, thyroid, stress etc etc) are put in context here!
I like the way he talks, the confidence in his voice and appearance.

I like Dr. Kaplan's videos. He explain the importance of the intestine in the autoimmune problem. Think it is important to keep the intestine healthy. My procedure in doing this is probiotics. I do Kombucha tea and ferment my own vegetables. I also like doing a psyllium fiber flax seed mixture to keep my digestive track clean. I do very little gluten and no dairy. Grains and dairy have changed and not for the good.

In order to do Twinrix properly you need to do one shot, then another one a month later, then a third 6 months later I believe?

I had chronic lower back back that I thought was a sciatic nerve. It would shoot down my left left. I've had this pain since 2008. After going for a 10 km walk in 2012, my legs got rubbery and weird. I got drop foot that acted up for the first time in my life. In 2011 I had some symptoms of slurred speech and numbness in my legs. It later cleared up. The numbness remained off and on however.

In March 2013 I went to Cuba. One week prior to leaving I got a first dose of a Twinrix shot a week prior to leaving for the first time in my life. I didn't bother following up with the second and third shot as my vacation was done. I got busy. I just left it and didn't bother.

In September 2013 I went to Mexico. One week prior to leaving I got another first dose of a Twinrix shot. Again, I didn't bother following up the second and third shot as my vacation was done. I got busy. I just left it and didn't bother.

In March 2014 I went to Cuba again and foolishly once again, I got a first dose of a Twinrix shot. And foolishly once again I didn't bother following up with anymore shots after that as my vacation was done.

No doubt my Symptoms became more persistent and obvious to me between March 2013 and now. I was Dx last month. Is there a connection? I'm curiois now, that's for sure.
