There was a segment on CBC recently that found that certain teas exceeded pesticide limits:

There has also been speculation, but I don't think anything conclusive as to how Pesticides and Toxins can have neurological effects.

Have there been more conclusive studies about pesticides influence in MS?

Thanks for the article on the tea. I do not know of any specific studies linking pesticides to MS but have to believe pesticides are not a good thing to put in our bodies. These chemicals are designed to kill insects and if you get enough in your body it is conceivable they could kill you or make you very sick. The thing that concerns me most about your article is that it list Uncle Lee's Tea Legends of China as the highest amount of pesticides in it. I am currently using this tea because it is 100% organic certified by the USDA. I prefer to use the organic products even though they cost more believing the USDA organic sticker means something. I have contacted Uncle Lee's Tea and the USDA about this article to see if they can give me an answer to the articles you posted. I will let you know if I get a true definition of the meaning of organic and if we can believe the label.

Uncle Lee's Legends of China tea is not labeled as organic.

It's possible you're confused about the tea you're drinking. I see no need for any conspiracy theories here.

The label on the box I have says Uncle Lee's Tea Legends of China 100% Organic Green Tea. I bought the tea at Walmart. Haven't heard back from the company. Hoping the sample checked in the article was not organic.

I have not heard from Uncle Lee or the USDA but have been investigating the tea issue. Tea and water are the only things I drink because I feel they are the healthiest. I do not want to drink anything which is not healthy for my body. Think I made a mistake in interpreting the organic label. Anything coming form China has to be suspect. Red Rose tea comes from Kenya, Ceylon, India, and Indonesia. The article says it is free of pesticides so that is good enough for me. For the green tea I found Salada which comes from Kenya. Do not think the label organic is important if the product comes from China.

Think I have changed my mind on drinking tea as a healthy thing. Will be drinking a lot more filtered water in the future.
