Dr. Michal Schwartz from the Weizmann Institute has been saying for over a decade that the immune cell activation we see is protective. She calls it "protective autoimmunity."

Maybe this is why the current MS immune modulating/ablating drugs do NOT stop MS disease progression or loss of gray matter?
