I am a little suspicious of the fact they checked in mice, when it has been tested on humans for safety for 10 years. Something like this could be given to MS patients under observation to see if it actually works in humans, with one of the diseases they plan to treat. I think they knew that they would lose funding pretty quick otherwise.

There have been a number of medications over the years that have stopped and/or reversed mouse MS. But none of them have ever gone on to work in human MS which is very different than the animal model of the disease.
One of these days they may find something that works in the mouse and eventually works in humans but I wouldn't hold my breath for it.
