Iron is supplemented in some women with excessive menstrual flow. There may be other reasons for low iron. If this assessment is very old it may no longer apply. Some people on this site do regular phlebotomies (bleeding treatments) to reduce their iron to a lower level.

jimmylegs (member, see elsewhere in this thread) will give you good advice regarding nutrition. This seems to be a nutrition issue, possibly involving supplementation. I have personally avoided supplements that have iron in them because I don't know whether too much iron is a problem or not. Without good, recent blood testing it will be hard for anyone to say what is going on.

It is a good thing to be aware that modern weed-killers often contain high levels of iron, which will eventually reach the water table.

"do regular phlebotomies (bleeding treatments) to reduce their iron to a lower level"

That's the thread then, noone has established an accepted low iron state, near iron deficiency, .. ?
As shown in the FEAST study, they never took the ferritin to zero as Dr. Sullivan stated is perfectly safe and logically where to start, and so I'm wondering whether Zamboni had taken a lower level than the FEAST study did .. ?
I've been pushing the iron reduction for a couple of decades and really have missed a bit in the last couple of years ..
