Asymtomatic brain damage in relatives of MS

Interesting.
Asymptomatic first-degree relatives of patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) demonstrate focal brain tissue abnormalities indistinguishable from those of MS, researchers reported in April in Annals of Neurology journal.

does this mean our first-degree relatives may have asymptomatic MS.........

yes, we have discussed this a little elsewhere, you could grab random individuals off the street and find a percentage that had brain lesions on mri with no symptoms. i have 10 lesions on my brain and not one of my problems have anything to do with any brain lesion. if my spine was not also involved, i would never have gone to the doctor in the first place.
