Hi,
Just wonder if anyone had any ideas what this could be.
I don't have MS .
My partner has just noticed that my left eye looks very different to my right one.
Having just had a look i've found that the left pupil is very large and the right one is normal.i get aslight ache behind the right eye.(i wear glasses for reading)
I work on computers all day do you think this might have something to do with it.sorry to waffle on but any advice would be very welcome.

Does your pupils constrict when you shine a light into them? Do you have a droop of your eyelid in either side? I think you should get that checked out. I can only give you very limited answers once I know more. Asking EyeDoc is a very good idea.

I can only repeat what everyone else has said here which is to ask eyedoc and also seek medical attention without delay. I know it's sometimes scary to do so especially if there's something that's niggling at you. Is there any concern that MS may be behind it?

I just got his private message and replied, but since this thread is in a public forum I will tell you approx. what my answer was (if you are curious ):

Basically, pupils of different sizes are very common. They are not generally a concern as long as the pupils react normally (to direct light, accommodation, and consensual responses). Also, is the size difference something new, or has it been there for a long time and not noticed? However, there are some conditions that need to be ruled out, and can only be done so effectively with an exam.

One big issue for us with MS is the ever-loveable optic neuritis With ON you can get an afferent pupillary defect (APD). This is a pupil that dows not react properly to light.
