It's always good to hear about new projects starting up in MS research, even if they are only just beginning the fund raising. If MS costs Australia $600 million a year, I can't understand why governments don't pump more money into some of the avenues of research which look promising, but which don't appeal to the big companies because they see little or no profit. Even if you only look at the financial cost, and not the human cost, surely the numbers would add up? (though I suppose that would involve long-term thinking, which politicians aren't capable of),
