This is a total side note to MS. ACheerleader wrote some stuff about thinking her husband may have this (AC, forgive me if it wasn't you, but it was someone on here). At any rate, it looks like it is getting the attention of the CDC now.

Yup, I did post about Morgellons, and hubby went to the dermatologist. He had three strange mole/growths/tumors surgically removed from his face, back and stomach. Much to his surprise, the doc said, "Looks like potential Morgellons." ?!?! I was really surprised she knew about this.

The biopsies came back as "spindle cell compound nevus" and "mild cytologic atypia" with no pre-cancerous cells. Meaning these lesions could potentially become mole-melanoma syndrome, but the lab isn't sure. Official diagnosis...these are strange! I don't think the labs have specific markers for Morgellons, since this is not a CDC disease, but a name given by the mother of a child stricken with this "mystery illness."

He now has a new one growing on his cheek. These growths started appearing last year, when he was diagnosed with MS. Presenting symptoms were numbness and tingling. He has many lesions on brain and spine, and is doing well on Copax and many supplements. (I've posted his regimen on the boards recently.)

There is some sort of infection going on. We've just sent a bunch of blood and urine to Igenex lab. Hubby's Lyme titer was high. He has a spirochete infection, not sure if it's Lyme yet. We're looking into antibiotics, perhaps the CAP protocol.

My personal thoughts....As our planet gets warmer and the good bacteria are baked, the bad guys get stronger...(think red algae in our oceans) we will see more and more strange, "super" viruses. And some of these breach the blood brain barrier and wreak havoc on the CNS, causing MS.

I think this is the tip of a strange (melting) ice burg.
