I have been thinking about this for a long time. TIMS is a loosely knit group of people with the commonality of MS. I thought it would be nice if we all got together. My thought was to plan a get-together in Naples, FL, perhaps for a weekend. I think the best time to do this would be next March, 2009. It would allow those of you located in the cold weather to get a break from it and come to where it is warm. It could be scheduled so that it would be during spring break to accommodate those with children. If planned far enough in advance it would allow folks to budget and make plans.

If there is interest I will make arrangements with a hotel (hopefully on the beach) for rooms. If there are enough people I could probably get a discount. I may even be able to arrange for a couple of speakers. For those of you not in the United States, it is a great time to visit-the exchange rate is favorable!

Let me know who would be interested in doing this. It would be a lot of fun, lots of sunshine (therefore vitamin D!) and maybe educational too!

I'm in! My in-laws live in West Palm Beach area so we could head to Naples then onto my in-laws either that or I could leave the kids at my in-laws and just bring my husband with me. Oooooh! It's sounding better the more I think about it. Keep me up on the plans.

I am moving to a new house this week so am swamped, as you can imagine. So once things settle down I will get started on making plans for this. In the meantime, keep letting me know if you'd like to join us. So far I think there are 4 responses from people who definitely want to do this. So come on-it will be a lot of fun!
