Disability

I need some help with ss disability issues. I recently won a partially favorable decision, meaning I was awarded benefits, but none of the back pay because they changed my onset date to July 2008, rather than the actual date I became disabled June 2004. I have several questions:

1. Has anyone appealed to the federal appeal's council more than once with any success? :?

2. Is anyone receiving benefits also working? :?

3. Has anyone had an administrative law judge make them offer to settle? Mine offered to find me disabled as of Jan 2006, then when I refused the offer, told me the offer was off the table and came back with a decision of July 2008. How does that work? If I had agreed to the offer, then would the facts of the decision be changed to fit with that onset date? Sounds rather arbitrary :x

Any advice or helpful info would be greatly appreciated
:)

Sorry to hear that your facing such legal games. Not sure where you are located, but there are lawyers out there who specialize in disability claims. Depending on the costs and your needs, it may be worth checking in to.

best of luck,
