Anyone ever had one?

Not sure Chris. I thought I did about a month ago. I was alone, so no one saw it. I had been sleeping but was suddenly aware of my heart racing and my jaws "flopping" kind of a fast jumping.
Went to visit the homeopath the next day and he told me he thought it was a dream. Gave me reasons as to why it was not a seizure, like I didn't wet my pants and I was not totally out of it afterwards.
I was not convinced and he asked me..."Do you WANT to have seizures?"
Hmmm. He was an ass.
He wrote orders for an MRI and an EEG, but the whole time he wrote he talked about the cost of them and that he was not suggesting that I need to do it.
I decided not to b/c I really, at this point, don't want to know. I had little sleep the night before as I was babysitting my newborn grandbaby. I have since been more careful about my sleep.
There are folks here on seizure meds and I also was going to eventually ask
Anyone ever had one?
but I needed some time to go by from that horrid doc visit.

See I think I had one, but I never lost memory or anything. I just slipped into the whole Aura thing, and then lost it. I feel down and was snoring while I was face down on the carpet. I then came too, and I was essentially fine within a couple of minutes.

We (docs and me) all thought I was having anxiety attacks, but, now we are not sure. I have an MRI this week and an EEG sometime soon.

I don't feel bad. I have 0 symptoms of something really bad like a tumor. I am not really even concerned because I have had a ton of MRI's with 0 but MS goodies..

I have only experienced this a couple of times and today was by far the worst and it scared the hell out of me.

Just was hoping to hear from some of the folks who maybe had some experience with one but so far no one seems to care lol.

yes but not due to MS. I had epilepsy in childhood.

not peeing yourself doesn't matter. I never peed myself. I wasn't always totally out of it afterwards either but I was usually pretty tired.

Mrs George,
I researched before I went to the doc and was aware that not every seizure causes you to wet. I was very disappointed with the doc that day. He also asked me as a side note...how is your MS?...like it could not be related. It is possible that I dreamed it, but I still don't think so.
Chris, make sure you are sleeping well. Too little sleep is a good trigger for seizures it seems. For me I did lots of reading and the best I came up with was, yes, maybe it was.

I had two, about four years after my first MS symptom at the age of 24. The first could be put down to tiredness and overwork since it was about midnight and I was still at work in my studio, but the second was in a supermarket in the middle of the morning. Luckly I only wet myself with the first one. I had an EEG but we had no MRIs in this country at the time but they were probably due to an MS relapse. I have had none since, more than twenty years later.

Well, I have my reg MRI tomorrow and a EEG on Fri.

I feel fine and being that I remember everything no one thinks I had a seizure.

We will see but I really am not expecting anything weird.

Chris, 4AP can cause seizures in MS patients- not too often, but it is a risk. I'd be interested to know what Dr. Kerr has to say about it.

Its the same thing he said. We think it was a psueudoseizure or syncope event.

I had a EEG on Fri and it was read by a neuro that day and no one has called me yet so it must not be bad.
