coincidences?

Hey all, I've had a pretty strong interest in weird coincidences (or 'synchronicities,' for those who find some of them to be meaningful and not all 'mere') ... anyway, wouldnt think to bring it up on here but I just posted about how I found out I had MS as part of a strange coincidence with another person I never met, and thought it might be worthwhile here ... maybe it's my lesions that make this stuff happen so often, or be so much more noticable, to me ... lol

Anyway here's the link: http://teapotshappen.wordpress.com/2009 ... sclerosis/

(It felt weird to post my MRI, like I was posting something potentially more revealing than even nude photos would be, somehow ... )

Great writing, Zap...you are quite the mystic. I just finished Graham Hancock's latest, Supernatural. He writes about ancient cultures' use of hallucinogenic plants and herbs to enter into communion with the divine. Modern man is much more "rational" ...and we seem to have relegated mystical experiences to fanatics and outsiders....but it used to be part of everyone's life. I'm a total believer in synchronicity and our Creator's use of "coincidences" to get our attention. Believe me, the last 2 years have been a tremendous, mystical journey...without any other influences besides hope and prayer, it's still been a trip!
thanks for sharing,

heh, well I came into this all from a punk rock, hyper-atheistic background, so it was a tricky transformation to navigate lol

By "came into this" I meant hippie dippy experiences and then beliefs ... not the MS diagnosis. If anything, the hippie dippitude has been quite helpful in dealing with having MS, it makes room for all kinds of pretty positive ways of viewing my self and future that I would not have had access to when I was of the totally nonspiritual mindset that all was meaningless ...

Anyway, didn't mean for this thread to be about ME, was more interested in others' tales of meaningful coincidence, if anyone wants to share!

My Stanford trip has some of that. As we all know right now the economy SUCKS. So travelling out to Stanford, although I'm going with major enthusiasm, also has a significant pricetag attached to it when you're coming from Ohio. So anyway I get an email from an old high school buddy who was just "checking in". Turns out he is the VP of Choicestream web marketing and is loaded, AND lives less than two miles from the medical center. So now my pricetag for lodging, meals, and a car is $0. I thought that was a pretty cool coincidence! And to boot, they just major remodeled and he has not one, but two guest bedrooms with their own attached baths! So now me and the Nellster get our own rooms and latrines at no out of pocket cost.

LOVE that story, Lew! So glad you'll have a friendly and free place to stay!
Here's just one story of synchronicity from the past year...
I had just sent the CCSVI research to Dr. Dake the week before he MET Dr. Zamboni at the Charing Cross Symposium in London (I had no idea they'd both be there). They actually were on the schedule to speak the same day, within an hour of each other in the same room. Dr. Dake asked to meet with Dr. Z in private, and was blown away with his research, came back and CALLED me!
I'm not clever enough to have arranged that...

Gotta love that coincidence seems to be smiling on the path to Dr Dake ... so excited to see what the short and long term results are from these procedures!
