Good interview with Vollmer

This issue of InforMS has an interesting interview with Tim Vollmer. Much of what he says won't be new to a lot of people here, but he puts it all together very clearly and provided, at least for me, a clearer impression of the state of MS understanding.

I am just half way through the interview. It is good.

Has anyone stumbled accross the article that is referred to regarding inflamation, neurodegenration and disease types, published in "Brain"?

Not sure if its just me, but it also had the clearest down to earth explanation of the different images taken during an MRI. 8)

Cure, I think this is it, and the full text is available for free:

I just looked at the "Inflammation vs Neurodegeneration" thread and we discussed this article a few months back. My memory is like a sieve.

This is one of the better articles with Vollmer. I was actually surprised. I have met Vollmer and could have been one of his patients, but chose to stay with Dr. Allen Bowling who had previously been the director of the MS Center. Dr. Bowling is more patient oriented -- Vollmer is a "do as I say" kind of doctor.

Thanks.

The MRI bit in the Vollmer article will help you see that in your MRI :)
