As mentioned, I've not been completely dx'd with MS but Doc suspects so. I would like to know what where teh FIRST SYMPTOMS viewers noticed and how old you were when it first happened.

Bob, that's exactly what I've been going through! My first symptoms 3 years ago were strange tingling and numbness in my legs, I had all kinds of tests done and they said it was probably all in my head.

Then about a year ago I had horrible panic attacks, and chest pain, rapid heartbeat. I felt like I was going to die every time. I had multiple panic attacks per day, some lasting as long as an hour. I thought maybe all of it was due to anxiety. But I also had so many other symptoms that weren't explained by anxiety such as RLS, pain and tingling in my shoulder, blurry vision in my left eye... extreme fatigue.

I haven't been dx with anything but I want to keep pursuing the possibility of MS. I haven't heard of MS being related to panic attacks up until now but I think it makes perfect sense.

Numbness in my left leg when I was 24. Much fatigue also.

My MS was very benign for the next fifteen years, though, then bang! Two years later I started antibiotics and no trouble since.

A strange cloudiness in my left eye. Very odd. I could see it but I couldn't see it at the same time. Then six months later numbness/pins and needles in my feet.

The eyesight has pretty much resolved itself now. The numbness has crept up my legs.

I was 28 when I had my first symptoms..

What are your first, suspected, symptoms? Perhaps you mentioned them in an earlier post, sorry..

Here's hoping that the symptoms go and never return! It does happen, after all..

I'm just trying to figure all of this out. I haven't yet been dx'd with anything yet. Doc suspects MS or benign MS. I have twitching/rumbling going on in the calves of my legs. My body in different locations with twitch every so often and I have had an MRI of my brian that showed those lesions/damage in the myelin sheaths. He says that could be from a lot of different things, but everything he asked me didn't apply and the answer was 'no'. Have decided not to go forward at this time with more diagnostics unless some other symptoms pop up.

I find this fascinating. I'm 56 years old and just now have this start is very odd.

Hoping that if I do have MS, that it will be benign and this may be all that I experience, but the more I read, the more I see that it's different for each person.

On this subject, I can see the huge range of first symptoms that people had and they were all over the board as far as different ages on on-set.

I would be interested to know how many people have those lesions on the brain or other places down their spinal area....

I'm also interested to know if caffeine affects people who have MS in a 'heightened' way. I seem to have become so sensitive to caffeine the last few months especially. Don't know if it's related or not, but find that even morning coffee tends to bother my sleeping at night. I find that odd.

I was 51 when I experienced my first, and only symptoms. Numbness through my fingertips on my left hand, and numbness around the left corner of my mouth (lips). Three week duration and nothing since.
