Mostly my left arm and left leg are weak & uncoordinated. If doc taps my nerves with the hammer my leg or arm goes wonky. 6 yrs ago I had numbness in different places that moved arounfd & finally went away except on my left cheek. I have one lesion on my brain that didn't show up a year ago. When I have to pee I have to go NOW. Once in a while my vision blurrs when I'm reading...but that can be normal with getting older

What tests (blood or other) should I nake sure are done?

If this is not MS, what else could it be?

Thanks. :)

Egads there are too many different things it may be!

So what tests should I make sure are done when I go to the MS Clinic? I've had blood work. EBV was way high and Vit D was a bit low and everything else was normal.

I'm sure you know that EBV is implicated in the MS disease process. Vitamin D prevents EBV from functioning normally. Super high vitamin D doses are recommended by some for helping alleviate MS relapses..
I take 10,00 iU daily, although many doctors would consider that too high a dose..

Yeah, I read that EBV may be related to MS in some way. Lucky me. Also though that most people have the virus in their system but it doesn't affect them.

Vit D is one of the vitamins that you can get too much of (D,E,A & K), so find out what the symptoms of ODing are and watch yourself

It's true. Some research suggests that you need in excess of 40,000iU/day. I get vitamin D added to any blood tests that the doctor orders though and I'm not overdoing it yet..

My suggestion? Keep a small notepad and ink pen close. Everytime you have a symptom, or think of a question, write it down. No matter how insignificant it is. I keep and online journal, daily. When I go to the neuro, I print it out andtake it with me, because I always have amajor brain fart, everytime I go to the neuro, and never got all my questions answerd, I would forget to ask alot of the things I wanted to Now I take my print outs, and hand them to the doctor....
