Does anyone know if this procedure is done in Australia?

MrRhodes I have done an internet search and your name seems to come up.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks

I do not know of anyone receiving the correct treatment in Australia. One patient has been attempted, but it failed, and the patient went to Poland (ie Dr Simka).

The diagnosis is what I am trying to confirm, and prove to my doctors.

I have had an Ultrasound which found a reflux in one of my IJV's. This Dr is no longer interested, as its not his speciality (ie stroke) and he didn't find 2 issues as Zamboni predicted.

I have also had an MRV performed of my Head and upper neck, which only found an asymmetry (one side smaller) in my jugulars; ie no obvious stenosis.

I am now in the process of trying to get a full torso MRV & a head SWI (as per Dr Haake). There is also a vascular surgeon I am in contact with who is following my "progress" as well as advocating this possible relation with MS, amongst his peers.

At this stage, I think we are all at the "mercy" of our medical teams, and our ability to push them into at least diagnosis's of CCSVI. I have read somewhere that Dr Haake is working with an Australian radiology lab regarding getting his "protocol" tested. No idea as to where or when. I would suggest you either email Dr Haakes general email address from his web site, or start questioning your personal medical team a little more, or the phone book.

Thanks for the info. I had a call from the radiologist yesterday and they will not perform the vein scan. He said there was not enough info on what to look for. Told me to look at facebook - which I have done. Some negative comments regarding the theory!

Another plan foiled! Anyway I am off to Germany for stem cell therapy.

Thanks for your time.

That is no excuse. Dr Haake is more than willing to help a lab train-up / understand what they need to do. Get the radiologist to contact Dr Haake's general email site with any specific questions. He/she will get a response.

In canada, you can get 'a radiologist' to do what YOU want. Doesn't work that way here.
