Poor kid. put on interferon 3 x week and steroids. Probably doing more harm than good.

Sam is one of a small group of Paediatric MS patients that MSRC have been helping over the past couple of years, he, and they, are very brave and resilient.

You can find out more about Paediatric MS, in general, and Teens and Children with MS via our webpage - http://www.msrc.co.uk/index.cfm?fuseact ... ageid=1460

If there are any other families with a child/teen with MS who would like to discuss anything relating to their child's MS, please contact the MSRC - info@msrc.co.uk and we can put you in touch with other parents, like Sandra, Sam's Mum.

squiffs. :)

I read the article on Sam, it reminded me of a lot that I went through except for being diagnosed that young. I actually got sick at the age of 7 and went undiagnosed for the next eleven years. If I were Sam or any other young child with MS, I would do what my parents did with me. Let them try whatever they want (so they still have a childhood) and they feel like they fit in with every other kid. You don't need to keep reminding them that they are different because in their eyes they aren't.

This story makes me want to go home and hug my kids.
