So I had a hearing test today that my ear nose and throat doctor sent me for... my hearing is fine but the dr doing the test said that the nerve behind my right ear isnt working properly. Would this test help to get a diagnosis? My ENT thinks I do have MS and thats what the Dr today said was in the letter he sent her. I'm also having another MRI this weekend which this dr told me that hes looking for lesions. I'm crossing my fingers that I may know whats going on soon.

I also hope that the stuff i sent in to appeal my short term disibility claim will get me put back on STD because it mentions MS in the ENT's report.

I am really crossing my fingers here. I will find out next week if my appeal is approved or not and 2 weeks after the MRI i see the Doctor again.

Yes, nerve damage to your ear may help in getting a dx. They can test this with an auditory evoked potential test. Painless, like a visual E P test, only you have ear phones on and can close your eyes.

I sure hope you can qualify for STD! Nobody needs money problems on top of everything else you're going through. I've been on Ltd for almost a year, and it's hard making ends meet with 70% income, let alone no income.

I wish you the best in your quest for a dx.

Mike (dx - demyilinating disease, possibly MS)
