hello there, haven't been here for a while but just upped my dose from 3 to 4.5mg. Hope to be approaching tailend of new attack (fuzzy left side of face and tongue) but the start of LDN was great.I haven't taken the few day break for over a month now as I heard somewhere that it wasn't necessarily necessary but would be grateful for any thoughts. also: I try to keep awake to take LDN around 11pm but am now waking @ 6 most mornings - guess it could well be cos 7hrs should be enough but have needed a pm nap in this (very temperate) uk summer
anyone any thoughts or ideas on taking breaks and pm taking times?

I think that as long as you take your LDN between 9:00 pm and 3:00 am you're good. I take mine at 9:00 pm every night and I then tend to fall asleep on the couch, only to wake at about midnight to go to sleep in my bed. Depends on how it works for you. Oh and no intermittant therapy is necessary. Even Dr. Lawrence has reversed his thoughts on all that. He spoke about that at the conference last June. You might take a look there to see and here things that were said at the conference. Just go to www.ldninfo.org and click on the conference link. Good luck

I've read a few places that some people have a problem tolerating 4.5mg of LDN. I'm wondering what part of it they aren't tolerating. I've been taking 4.5mg for about 2 weeks and really don't notice any difference between it and 3mg. What should I stay on? Also, does anyone know anything about using Sativex for spasticity and can you even use it in conjunction with LDN. Thanks for any help.
Heather

Some people have terrible leg spasms and mixed with a higher dose of LDN such as 4.5mg they become worse. Unbearable for some people to get around. Dr. Bihari has stated that in those cases, it's best to just go back down to 3mg or even 2mg if need be.
I think that if you are not having those issues, stay at the recommended dose of 4.5mg. As far as Sativex, I don't think there would be a problem taking both together. I'm not really all that familiar with it but as long as it contains no narcotic then it should be fine.

My husband has now been on LDN for almost 7 weeks. He started at 3 mg for the first month then we filled his prescription for 4.5 for the following month. His leg stiffness did not abate and he was feeling more leg stiffness after going up to 4.5. He does seem better the next morning after doing exercises the night before (especially a one-hour Pilates class). He was just diagnosed with PPMS a few months ago and has only been experiencing some walking and balance problems for about a year (it has gotten worse since this spring). He has some minor bladder problems. I'm wondering if, because he's only mildly impaired at the moment, it will take longer for him to see any benefits of LDN or for the side effects to subside. If he just stops progressing we will be grateful.
