:?:

I see on webmd.com that Naltrexone is a Category C, but I'm assuming that's as the 50 mg dose, not the 3 to 4.5 dose that MSers take. Anyone have experience with LDN and Pregnancy- been on it while prg, know anyone who has, etc?? Just curious... If LDN continues to improve my situation as it has done in (albeit in small strides) within just one WEEK, babies may be on the horizon after all?!

Thanks for the input.

Hi Susie,
I've no experience with taking LDN while pregnant but do know of someone that took it over at the Spotlight health forum. Her name is Angie and she did quite well with the whole situation from what I read. There was a post somewhere, where a nurse stated that they even give Naltrexone to babies born from addicted mothers. Not sure where that message was posted however, perhaps at Spotlight Health as well? Good luck to you. JoyceF

Cautionary warnings:
Because LDN blocks opioid receptors throughout the body for three or four hours, people using medicine that is an opioid agonist, i.e. narcotic medication — such as Ultram, morphine, Percocet, Duragesic patch or codeine-containing medication — should not take LDN until such medicine is completely out of one's system. In addition, LDN should probably not be taken during pregnancy.

I think as in most cases with pregnancy and medicines, consulting with your doctor is very very important..
