Does anyone wake up?

Does any one wake up early at 5 am everyday then takes about an hour to go back to bed? I also use the restroom. Just wondering. This is still 10x better than I was feeling before Ldn.

Hi Bobby, I've been on 3 mg. for 3 weeks and I'm waking up constantly during the night. Unbelievably, I still feel more energetic than I did before. I just called Dr. Bihari's office, and they suggested cutting back to 2 mg for 15 days. Playing with the dose may be something you want to try. Good luck. Janice

I've been on 4.5 mg LDN since January, and I still wake-up during the night; I wake hot, sweaty, and it usually takes a while to return to sleep. Lately, it seems to have gotten worse, so I've been to my neurologist to see about trying copaxone; but then again, I've been finding that the side-effects of copaxone may be worse than the sleep interuptions, and sluggish mornings from LDN.

Hmmmmm..? I suppose I'll make a decision after we see my latest MRIs.

Be Well,
Rev. Leonidas

hello there, I'll have completed my first week of LDN tonight.. I couldn't be sure of any changes in the first few days and then two days ago noticed a spring in my step whilst walking down the street (don't think it's just new mp3 player either :) I've found myself not being able to get to sleep as normal - losing a couple of hours in the evening and then waking @ least an hour before normal. this lack of sleep is starting to have an effect. it's strange though as by this time pre-LDN I'd be stumbling and shuffling. I'm dead steady but dead tired too!
this isn't a moan as this 'dog tiredness' is something I haven't felt in ages, it's nowhere near fatigue but I'd like to start getting normal sleep now.
anyone got any ideas how long it takes to 'normalise' to raised endorphin levels (I'm assuming this is part of fluctuating systems in body). So I'm waking hot, sweaty (not the fun hot and sweaty, either;) and early.
Any ideas anyone?

At 3 mg., my son never had the insomnia issues with LDN. However, this is his biggest problem when he tries to go up to 4.5, besides stiffness. Between the insomnia and the stiffness, we never keep him at 4.5 very long, but I have talked to tons of others who say that the insomnia usually resolves after a few weeks. Have you tried adjusting your dosage or changing the time you take it? I know of one man who has trouble falling asleep after taking it, so he goes to sleep with his LDN and water on the bedside table, sets the alarm and wakes up briefly to take it and falls right back asleep. I don't know if this would make any difference for you or not, but it might be worth a try! Good luck!

thanks ccmom,
had reached an exhaustion driven crisis point last night but then had a self medicated slug of vodka and medicinal smoke, got a straight seven hours and feeling far better today
I'm on 3mg and have been taking it any time between 11 and 1. Have more optimism now there's some sleep behind me.
had been reading about serotonin levels taking a natural dip from raised endorphin levels and so causing sleep disruption but I guess it's just going to take time to adjust.
had noticed stiff forearm but am putting it down to strange sleeping positions for the moment
again, thanks for reply
