I've posed this question on other message boards and thought you guys might be interested in hearing what we have been told. My 16 year old son has been using LDN since June with fantastic results. We found out last week that his gallbladder is totally non functioning, and has to be removed. The surgery is scheduled for next Monday.

We were really concerned over the fact that he might need pain medications post operatively, and how the LDN would affect that. We didn't want to stop the LDN unless absolutely necessary, since he had a very minor flare up of old symptoms a couple of months ago when his LDN shipment didn't get here on time. Anyway, we talked to the surgeon about it at length yesterday, and he will not be missing any of his LDN. The surgeon was familiar with LDN, and said that the dose is so small that it will not affect his reaction to pain meds or anesthesia. He also stated that he should not have very much pain with the band aid procedure, but that even if he did, it shouldn't be any problem.

I will follow up and let you know after the procedure is done, but just wanted to let everyone know what was going on ahead of time. I'm very relieved that he doesn't have to miss his LDN, and so is he.

Hope you all have wonderful holidays and a very happy new year!

Kim
