I started my first pill last night and am continuing to read info. I am reading about people going on really strict diets (no sugar and gluten) and taking all sorts of supplements. Is that really necessary and if it is someone please enlighten me. Thank you.

I am on the best bet diet and find it really helps:) No Gluten/dairy/legumes and low sugar. I still eat a lot of red lean meat though as I actually feel I am better when I eat meat.

Meat has vitamin B-12, for one. Not a good idea to cut out carbs all together, but cutting down and replacing, say, spaghetti noodle with spaghetti squash is a good idea....in theory. I'm going to try it this week.

It's debatable, but I imagine a diet that's considered as healthy for anyone is fine.
One supplement most people take is fish oil. I'm taking flax seed oil, myself.
Alpha Lipoic Acid + Acetyl L-Carnitine seems to help.
A D+Calcium+Magnesium is good, especially if you're a shut-in like me! 8)

I'm going to get a curcumin supplement in the mail any day now.
I heard yesterday that rosehips help facilitate the electricity (nerve function...?) of our bodies to travel, or something. That one's on my list of things to invetigate still. :)

FWIW I eat also a lot of meat; and feel worse if I don't :? I have it cooked with turmeric / olive oil / black pepper. I also tried the 'sauce' without the meat but it is not working the same: perhaps the mix is necessary (in my case).

LDN is the best thing out there for me for now.

Hope this help.

LDN & diet

I looked into the MS Diet (Swank) ans have tried to follow as much of the guidelines with common sense - at least cutting down on fats and dairy & processed food (+fast food) These are things that are not very nutritious for you anyway. I am not on LDN yet ...BUT I do know someone else who is on LDN and they told me they have NEVER been on a diet when using LDN and have still had good results

I think it's what ever works best for each person. Hope this helps!
