Hi Everyone -

Thought I would point out that the New England Journal of Medicine out today has three articles following up on Tysabri and PML along with an editorial. I only get the abstracts and can't really tell what the key points are, but maybe one of you has better access or better insight into what is written.

Arcee,

Yes, altogether there are these articles that were due to be published in the NEJM on July 28th (today). Two of these (below) I found and posted links to in the other thread of mine on here. If you notice, now that the NEJM has been released, even those links to the articles I previously posted no longer work (darn it, I wish I would have printed those!) Anyway, altogether, there are the following articles that we'll now need to "purchase" or obtain from someone who receives the NEJM in the mail.

Natalizumab and Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopathy.
N Engl J Med. 2005 Jun 9; [Epub ahead of print]

6: Van Assche G, Van Ranst M, Sciot R, Dubois B, Vermeire S, Noman M, Verbeeck J, Geboes K, Robberecht W, Rutgeerts P.
Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopathy after Natalizumab Therapy for Crohn's Disease.
N Engl J Med. 2005 Jun 9; [Epub ahead of print]

Ok.........here is an "editorial" based on this person's review of the reports from the Tysabri investigations.

http://www.acnr.co.uk/pdfs/volume5issue ... eviews.pdf

It starts on page three. It's short, but might be interesting to some.

Deb,

Thanks for posting that link. It sure makes you wonder just what else isn't being made available by Biogen in all of this. And like some of us have said in the past, the proper research with Tysabri simply wasn't done. How sad for MS patients everywhere!
