Fast, accurate test for JC virus benefits patients with MS

A laboratory test developed by scientists at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) is helping clinicians around the world in diagnosing a rare and potentially life-threatening brain disease called progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML). I didn't know this was news. My Doctor (in New York) ran the JC test on me when we started looking at Tysabri. I'm JC negative but we're not sure if I'm progressing or not yet (turns out a lot of me newer symptoms are probably related to a slipped disc in my neck. which is a total bitch, having MS and something else giving me fake MS symptoms)
