Reversal of Symptoms?

I have had six Tysabri infusions. I am wondering if anyone has experienced any reversal of symptoms? I am becoming frustrated  Thanks for being there.

Lee,

You must take the time to read through all the posts. Some people do have a reversal of symptoms and some do not. My husband just started Tysabri and from what I have read, reversal of symptoms isn't Tysbari's claim.

There are also other sites where you can read about Tysabri. Some people do really great and others just so so.

Lee,

Maggie Mae is correct. Tysabri's mechanism of action against MS is blocking/preventing a majority of inflammation cells (T cells) from entering the CNS (Central Nervous System) and attacking our myelin, thus giving the body a chance to heal itself.

If you have had MS for relatively short period of time, your accumulated disabilities might possibly clear up or improve in a shorter period of time. Conversely, if you had MS for greater amount of time, providing the damage done from the accumulating relapses is not permanent, your body will eventually have a fighting chance to start repairing itself, but that takes time.

Will you know whether or not the damage is permanent? It is my belief, you will know, eventually.

If you are not having relapses and/or your disease process has slowed down, then Tysabri is working for you.

I can safely bet that your diagnosis of MS and disabling symptomatology did not happen only six months ago? If so, you really shouldn't expect Tysabri to work miracles for you in only six months either. Each of us reacts differently to each different medication, and also, our MS is uniquely different for each of us as our bodies are uniquely different as to how they handle relapses.

I am not a doctor, and the above are only my opinions.

Try to have patience, think positive, and have a very Merry Christmas and happy, healthier 2008!

All my best dearheart, hang in there. Lauren :P
