I got some info on the patient on the study who came down with Listeria that I had mentioned in an earlier post.

I was at the clinic for my quarterly blood draw earlier this week and asked the NP about what had happened with her. Apparently she was at a reception of some sort, and one of the foods being served was warm unpasturized brie cheese. Sounds kind of gross to me, but to
each their own :) Anyways, I guess it was right after she had received her Campath dose when she ate it, so her immune system was at it's weakest and she had Listeria raise it's ugly head. She was given whatever treatment they usually give for Listeria, and now she's fine.
