Frank, sorry to report, but the anti V5.2/V5.3 mAb turned out to be ATM-027, from Astrazeneca, which failed. The first link is to a phase 2 study of the drug, the second link is an Astrazeneca document where they actually admit that they discontinued ATM-027 (unusual for a pharma co to admit failure).

how about 4ap and fampridine?

First of all - great job keeping track of the pipeline.

I notice your blog does not mention 4ap as an "off label" treatment, nor does it mention fampridine, the time release version of it, which completed phase III trials recently.

They did have 1 death in their trial but it occurred after the end of the monitoring period, unclear if it was related.

Dizzy, I decided to make the list about disease-modifying therapies -ie- therapies that reduce relapses or lesions or progression etc. So things to treat symptoms haven't been covered. I think it would be good to have a separate list for symptomatic treatments though if somebody else is interested in putting one together...

Dear Dignan,

I'm going to write a article in the german wikipedia about upcoming therapy options in MS.
If you dont mind I would pretty much like to copy your comprehensive list - would this be ok?

Go right ahead Frank. I'm just happy for this info to be as easy to find as possible.

Thanks Dignan.
If anyone would like to see how the article looks - here it is.

Wyeth's Temsirolimus was in a phase 2 trial for MS. All mention of temsirolimus for MS has been removed from Wyeth's website. Another one bites the dust.

Thanks for this thread, it's really a great and hopeful resource!!! I'm interested in the NAC study that was discussed on the boards at: TIMS thread on NAC trial

The link below goes to the clinical trial site, which says the study has been completed. How can I find out the results?

Napay, good question, I couldn't find any information on the trial results. It is possible they aren't ready to release them yet. Maybe the researchers would answer an email from you...

I'm on it. But, I'd like some advice. I've not done this beofre. Are these folks open to this sort of communication? Is a formal communication better? Will they be "Put out" if I'm too informal? How does one communicate to get the best likelihood of a answer from a researcher?

These researchers frequently have a pr person that answers emails. So if you can find an email address, chances are good that someone will contact you.

I have been successful in getting most emails answered that I have sent out over the years asking about current research.

Since the new Rebif formulation has been approved in the EU, I'm taking it out of phase 3 and I'll note that the approved rebif is the new version in the list.

Based on this link just posted by Bromley, I've added minocycline to phase 3. I kept it in phase 2 as well since there are ongoing phase 2 trials.

Based on the Peptimmune website, I'm moving their drug (PI-2301) from pre-clinical to phase 1.
